 1) Give an example from film or television that uses Todorov's narrative structure of equilibrium, disequilibrium and new equilibrium.

One example that uses Todorov narrative structure is Wallace and Gromit in the curse of the Were-Rabbit

2) Complete the activity on page 1 of the Factsheet: find a clip on YouTube of the opening of a new TV drama series (season 1, episode 1). Embed the clip in your blog and write an analysis of the narrative markers that help establish setting, character and plot.

The opening  establishes setting, character, and plot. The visuals of prison bars, corridors, and guards ground the viewer in the confined world of Fox River State Penitentiary, while the cold colours and strict routines convey a sense of control and danger. We are introduced to Michael Scofield, whose calm, calculated nature contrasts with his brother Lincoln Burrows’ vulnerable situation on death row, immediately creating empathy and tension. The central plot who is Michael deliberately entering prison to break Lincoln outis hinted at through his actions,In just the opening moments, the series effectively sets the tone, stakes, and main conflict, drawing the viewer into its suspenseful narrative.

Adverts uses narrative by often providing a solution and often adverts set up the problem and then immediately offer an solution to create a swift resolution. This makes the advert a lot more aware  and what the advert consists of and how it looks appealing to the audeince by using narrative. This allows for adverts to maximise their profits and make their adverts look the most powerful and have the most success.Furthermore there is an a narrative which is exposed to the audience.
