 1) Type up your feedback in full (you don't need to write the mark and grade if you want to keep this confidential).

A fantastic first Y12 media assessment, keep this up! Your Q1 and Q2 really respond to the focus of the question, e.g, excellent analysis of the unseen product and careful consideration of social and cultural contexts.


2) Read the mark scheme carefully (this will be posted on your Google Classroom. Identify at least one potential point that you missed out on for each question in the assessment.
Q1: Talk about how there was no hint of a new equilibrium

q2 Both products hint at the role society can play in shaping people’s lives, which reflects a key
theme of British media and culture. In the Ill Manors poster, the tagline for the film literally
alludes to this (“Some environments...”)

q3 I forgot to talk about Abercrombie and how television producers set out to exploit genre conventions

I didn't talk about Abercrombie, which meant I got lower marks in question 3

  1) What is the definition of structuralism provided by the Factsheet?  Structuralism is a theoretical perspective that emphasises the existence of universal structures underlying the surface differences and assumed randomness of various cultures, stories and media texts.
